More than 50 members of BNCC attended the presentation by Aker Solutions on March 1st. COO Børre Sveen from Aker Process Systems Group gave a frank and honest speech on the challenges the company had faced in Brazil and how these had been overcome.
The presentation spurred a lively discussion on cultural and practical problems Norwegian companies in Brazil were facing. Minister Counselor Guimaraes informed about new developments on the working permit issue, where BNCC members have given input which now is transmitted to Brasilia. To resist the local content requirements was by all accepted to be futile and the automobile industry was proposed as an industry from which foreign companies can learn how to adapt to the Brazilian regulations.
Børre Sveen’s presentation is attached.
