The Norwegian Government’s Brazil Strategy launched

9 months ago the Norwegian government launched the process of developing an official Norwegian strategy for Brazil.  Now the strategy document is completed by the interdepartmental project group headed by the Foreign Ministry and approved by the Ministries involved.

Monday 21st March the strategy was presented to an audience of more than 100 people. The Norwegian ministers for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Industry, Petroleum and Energy, Fisheries and Coastal Affairs, together with the Deputy Minister for the Environment gave their views on the process and how their respective responsibilities were covered. Ambassador Moreira Lima expressed his appreciation on behalf of Brazil and some audience members, among them the president of BNCC, were invited to comment.

BNCC has closely been following the development process and been invited to offer suggestions and comments as the draft strategy developed, both on content and the process itself. It has in our view been an open and participative process and we are pleased to see that the final strategy will go a long way towards meeting the wishes of the Norwegian business community.

The strategy, prepared in Norwegian, is also available in English and Portuguese. The 3 versions can be found below.
