We visited the factory where Aker Solutions engineer the products, systems, and services that help the world meet its energy needs. In the picture: Patricia Medina is a board member of BNCC, representing Aker Solutions. During her career in the company, she held management positions within project management and manufacturing focusing on the operational side of the business. Patricia now works as Vice President of Manufacturing at Tranby Technology Centre which is one of Aker Solutions’ most modern facilities for manufacturing of subsea equipment. The seminar Brazil and Norway Ocean Industries outlook and regulatory framework, organized by Norwegian Shipowners’ Association and Abran, with the support of BNCC and NBCC, on June 6thwas a success. The seminar gave an overview of the Brazilian maritime transport and offshore market. The panel of discussion included representatives from the Norwegian Maritime Department and Norwegian Maritime Authority to share their views on the maritime shipping industry, green shipping and digitalization. From the Brazilian side, representatives of the Brazilian Maritime Court, ANTAQ and the government of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The audience also participated with questions and insights, reflecting on what each country could learn from each other, sharing knowledge and experiences.
BNCC was happily represented at Brazil@Nor-Shipping today. It was a great success! Several relevant speakers, including business representatives and Brazilian authorities, discussed great business opportunities and partnership between Brazil and Norway in the Ocean industries. Amazing arena to meet inspiring people!
A joint board meeting with the boards of BNCC (Oslo) and NBCC (Rio) took place on June 3rd at Innovation Norway, Oslo.
In the occasion, the chambers discussed how they could cooperate to benefit members and how to improve these benefits.
It was a productive morning session, with many good ideas and insights from both sides, that will soon become a common strategy.
