Breakfast Meeting – CSR

Norwegian companies operating in Brazil have an active role in the city where they operate with the social challenges. This remarkable team that you see on the first picture, took their time to present the inspiring histories of two very important Social Projects in Rio de Janeiro.

From left to right, Katarina Sæterdal, a board director of BNCC and DLW, hosted the members of BNCC at NHO for this very motivating breakfast meeting. Nara Borges, from Statoil that is a sponsor in both projects, explained us how the company see its investment in the projects. Michael Klem, CEO of Karanba brought some histories and examples of how this project help children and youth from the “favelas” to get education and help with personal issues. Iris Frøybu, board director and secretary of Dream, Learn, Work touched the audience with inspiration by sharing the successful cases of young people from poor backgrounds that have been assisted by the project. Terje Staaltrøm, Honorary Member of BNCC, led the meeting and added his personal experience from the beginning of this all, back in 2006.

If you missed this great opportunity of being part of this discussion and want to know more about these programs, visit their webpages (www.dreamlearnwork.com www.karanba.com).
