BNCC has a new Executive Director

The Brazilian Norwegian Chamber of Commerce announces the appointment of a new Executive Director, which will be effective this month.

Rafael de Souza is born in Campinas, SP, married with a Norwegian and resides in Asker. He received his degrees from the University of Campinas and Harvard University in Economics/History. His career started with Arthur Andersen (Auditing), Bank of America. Rafael was also a director of the Entrepreneurship Center at Faculdades de Campinas. Besides Portuguese, he also speaks English, Spanish, and Norwegian.

Aage Thoen, Chairperson of BNCC, says “Rafael brings with him a wealth of business experiences and lecturing capabilities combined with a background in startups and consulting which is ideal for BNCC in delivering on our value propositions to our members and other stakeholders. We look forward to seeing him on board”.

Rafael de Souza says, “I am very pleased to be offered this challenge. I will do my best to meet BNCC’s expectations. I am fully committed to the Chamber’s value proposition.”

We are also sad to see Larissa Slottet leaving us, but she has decided to follow her heart. She will take up an executive position in the circular economy within Ogoori. Her support, energy, and diligent work have been instrumental for BNCC for many years. We are grateful for the years with us and wish her and the family all the best ahead.

Larissa Slottet says, “I am incredibly grateful for these seven years working with BNCC. I had many amazing leaders on the board, and I will bring to life several good friends and the rich experience that I gained through this job. Now it is time to pass the baton to Rafael, who I believe will be a perfect fit for the chamber. I will keep being a member of BNCC, so I’m happy to stay in touch with the network. ”

We will call for a virtual Annual General Meeting later this month, in which we will also introduce our new executive director.
