KONGSBERG Group received BNCC’s members to a breakfast meeting in their headoffice in Oslo, where their CSR model was discussed. Two organizations, also members of BNCC, Kolibri CARF and Casas da Noruega had the opportunity to present their work in Brazil. After a mingling session during the nice breakfast offered, including St. Lucia treats, the members engaged in an interesting introduction of the CSR approach of KONGSBERG, by its Corporate Compliance Officer, Lene Svenne.
In Brazil, the group invests in two social projects operating in Rio de Janeiro; Dream, Learn, Work and Karanba. Moreover, KONGSBERG’s CSR strategy goes away beyond social contributions, they apply the concept of Responsible Business Conduct and invest on creating solutions for a sustainable future through technology. Svenne also mentioned that several of the UN’s sustainable development goals are integrated and implemented into KONGSBERG’s strategy.

BNCC kicked off the 15th Anniversary Celebration and festivities in a significant way on December 7, 2017, at the African Cultural Center, CAK in Oslo.
We were delighted to see old, current and future members and friends to gearing up the annual holiday party filled with a great atmosphere. We had important presences, such as the Ambassador of Brazil to Norway, representatives of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from several Norwegian companies operating in Brazil.
The food was fantastic, thanks to CAK’s team who took care of all details with professionalism and charisma.
After the dinner, several people from the Brazilian community in Oslo joined BNCC’s members to a concert with Bruna Santana and her band. Good music and dance took place at the saloon, and the members enjoyed the happy environment and created new contacts.
BNCC has come a long way in all these years. It was a big pleasure to celebrate it with our members in such a happy environment.
Take a look at the video.
The Honorable Ambassador to Brazil in Norway, Mr. George Prata invited the board of BNCC to a lunch meeting at his residence. At lunch, Mr. Ambassador Prata declared his appreciation for the vital work of the Chamber in strengthening the commercial relations between Brazil and Norway and thanked all presents for their collaboration. Besides twelve representatives from BNCC, there were also present BNCC’s former board member, Katarina Sætersdal, from NHO and Kjersti Rødsmoen, from the Latin America Section of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
BNCC appreciates the perfect lunch and the Ambassador's pleasant speech, marking the 15th anniversary of BNCC and reaffirming the real strength of Embassy-Chamber collaboration. To have such a robust and productive relationship is an excellent source of reassurance.
