The Brazilian Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, together with Culturas, Lusofonia Oslo and with the support of the Embassy of Brazil and the Embassy of Portugal invited the Lusophony community to a networking event in Oslo.
More than 60 Portuguese speakers attended the event on February 14th at the African Cultural Institute in Oslo. The primary goal of the evening was to strengthen the network among professionals who speak Portuguese in Norway and share experiences and contact chains, generating thus career opportunities, growth and improvement of knowledge.
Since 2014, BNCC and Culturas hold the Annual Brazilian Professionals meeting, and this year, for the second time, the event extended the invitation to all Portuguese speakers, native and learners, including people from Portugal, Mozambique and Angola.
The Consul and head of the commercial sector of the Embassy of Brazil, Ricardo de Souza Franco Peixoto, and the Consul of Portugal, Dr. Duarte Pinto Rocha, joined the event and presented the significance of this initiative.
The event was presented by Larissa Slottet, representing BNCC and Culturas, Graciete Londrim, representing Lusofonia Oslo, and the volunteer contribution of members of BNCC, Claudia Meyer Andersen and Claudia Melim-McLeod.
A rich panel of discussion with a diverse representation of the Lusophony community presented their view and shared their experience about their career in Norway. After that, a speed network session was organized with all attendees.
